Corsa Legends Gear Ratio & Top Speed Calculator

Gear ratio tuning is the single biggest free speed upgrade in Corsa Legends — community reports put it at 35–50 mph of extra top speed on an otherwise stock car. Before you burn Cash on parts, work out where your gearing tops out.

Enter your car's numbers below and the calculator shows the speed of every gear at redline. Lengthen the top gears (smaller numbers) or drop the final drive to raise your top speed; shorten the lower gears (bigger numbers) to launch harder.

Gear ratios (longer gear = smaller number)
Estimated top speed
254 mph
At redline in top gear, with the ratios above.
GearRatioSpeed @ redline
13.2062 mph
22.1094 mph
31.50132 mph
41.15172 mph
50.92216 mph
60.78254 mph

Shorten a gear (bigger number) for faster acceleration; lengthen the top gears (smaller number) for higher top speed. Lowering the final drive stretches every gear at once.

How to use it

  1. Redline (RPM) — the RPM your car hits the limiter at. Most five-star cars sit around 7,500–8,500.
  2. Tire diameter (inches) — bigger tires give higher speed for the same gear.
  3. Final drive — multiplies every gear. Dropping it from ~4.0 to 3.0 is the classic shortcut that takes a stock 215 mph car past 250 mph.
  4. Gear ratios — one box per gear. A smaller number is a longer (higher-speed) gear.

Community-reported reference points: a five-star base car does 200–220 mph, a final-drive change alone reaches 250+ mph, and a full tune with E85 can pass 270 mph.

FAQ

What is the best final drive in Corsa Legends for top speed? Most top-speed builds end up between 2.5 and 3.0. Lower values raise top speed but cost acceleration, so pick based on your track.

Why does my car stop accelerating at a certain speed? Your gearing is too short — the engine hits the limiter before the car reaches its power-limited speed. Lengthen the ratio (smaller number) in the gear you are stuck in, or lower the final drive.

Does tire size matter? Yes. A larger tire raises speed for the same RPM and gear, which is why the calculator asks for it.

Should I tune gear ratios before or after other mods? After. Install your power mods first, then tune gearing to match — otherwise you will have to re-tune once the car makes more power.
